A Very Wayne Brady Cancellation At the 2003 Daytime Emmy Awards, "The Wayne Brady Show" snagged four trophies, including wins for outstanding talk show and outstanding talk show host. However, that adulation never translated into ratings and last week the show has been cancelled. The demise of the Brady talker is just the latest in a series of high profile syndicated cancellations since the conclusion of the November sweeps period. NBC Enterprises pulled the plug on "The John Walsh Show" in early December, while last week also saw the demise of "Crossing Over with John Edward."According to The Hollywood Reporter, syndicator Buena Vista Television will keep "The Wayne Brady Show" in production through May and most of its second season actually will air. Buena Vista is moving forward on a talk show centered on Tony Danza for a fall premiere. For the season, "Wayne Brady" has been averaging an anemic 1.0 rating. This is the second show bearing Brady's name to reach an early end. The "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" performer had a short-lived variety program on ABC which premiered in 2001 and disappeared in 2002, having aired eight episodes.
