The Oxygen Network is teaming with the prolific Carsey-Werner-Mandabach production team on the series "My Roommate Is a Big Fat Slut." The comedy, which will be Oxygen's first original scripted effort, is set to debut in April.

While its title may suggest a cruel FOX reality series, "Big Fat Slut" was written by Claudia Lonow (ABC's "Less than Perfect") and focuses on two twentysomething actresses who move from Minnesota to Los Angeles to become stars.

Joy Gohring (the albino folk singer in "Not Another Teen Movie") and Bree Turner ("Bring it On Again") head the cast.

"We like to think of it as 'Friends' uncensored," CWM principal Caryn Mandabach tells The Hollywood Reporter.

Oxygen has ordered eight big, fat, slutty episodes.
