No one named Adam or Eve is among the first 11 people taking part in FOX's unscripted series "Forever Eden," and frankly, that seems like a missed opportunity.

The people who are headed to the undisclosed tropical location for the open-ended reality show have names like Matt and Kassie and Jordan. There are 11 of them to begin with, making this "Eden" a little more crowded than its biblical namesake.

They'll be taking part in a reality-TV experiment that aims to be like an unscripted soap opera. The show, which premieres Monday, March 1, has no announced endgame, although one person will be voted out each week and replaced by someone new, a la last summer's "Paradise Hotel" (that show's producers are also behind "Forever Eden").

Those taking part in the show will get cash for remaining on for extended periods of time, but "Eden's" hook is that it could basically be an extended, and perhaps permanent, vacation.

British TV personality Ruth England will serve as host of "Forever Eden." She's also a presenter on ITV's travel series "Wish You Were Here."

The first 11 residents of "Eden" are:

  • Brooke, a 22-year-old office manager from Mankato, Minn.
  • Kassie, 21, a country singer from Nashville, Tenn.
  • Khalilah, a 23-year-old from Boston. Khalilah is currently between jobs.
  • Mary, 25, a former sports club manager. Originally from Salt Lake City, she now lives in Scottsdale, Ariz.
  • Neveen, a 21-year-old DJ from Salem, Ore.
  • Pro cheerleader Shawna, 25, also from Nashville.
  • Craig, 28, a fitness model from Scottsdale.
  • David, 24, a student originally from Lexington, Ky., now living in Houston.
  • Waiter/screenwriter Jordan, 26, from New York City.
  • Matt, 23, a former software salesman. Originally from Brookline, Mass., he now lives in Hoboken, N.J.
  • Michael, 23, a YMCA program director from Mission, Kan.
