Schwimmer Gets Behind NBC Pilot "Friends" star David Schwimmer is staying in the NBC fold for his next project, signing on to direct and executive produce a comedy pilot at the network.Elsewhere, former "NYPD Blue" star Kim Delaney, Lauren Holly, Robert Forster, Bill Pullman and rapper GQ have also joined pilots.Schwimmer, who's directed several episodes of "Friends," will step behind the camera again for "Nevermind Nirvana," a romantic comedy about a guy whose traditional East Indian family objects when he gets engaged to a white woman, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Kal Penn ("All About the Andersons") and Judy Greer ("Adaptation," "13 Going on 30") will play the engaged couple. Schwimmer will serve as an executive producer on the pilot along with writer Ajay Sahgal, Jamie Tarses and Karey Burke.Also at NBC, Pullman ("Igby Goes Down," "Independence Day") and Natascha McElhone ("The Truman Show") will star in NBC's "Revelations," a projected limited series about a group that works to hold off the apocalypse.Delaney ("Philly," the upcoming "10.5"), meanwhile, is close to an agreement to star in "Sudbury," a CBS drama about two sisters who also happen to be witches. Her involvement would remove a cast contingency on the pilot. Denise DiNovi and Sandra Bullock, who produced and starred in the similarly themed "Practical Magic," are the executive producers.Holly ("Picket Fences," "Chicago Hope") and Forster ("Karen Sisco") have signed on to an untitled CBS drama about a father and his sons who work bounty hunters. Forster will play the patriarch and Holly his younger girlfriend. David Cubitt ("Robbery Homicide Division") was previously cast as one of the sons.Finally, hip-hop artist GQ will star alongside Franky G ("The Italian Job") in FOX's "Johnny Zero," about an ex-convict-turned-private detective.
