HBO Wants Louis C.K. ASAP Louis C.K., long a writer and comic in search of his own show, may soon get that project under a new deal with HBO.An Emmy-winning scribe and occasional actor, C.K. has singed a multi-faceted development deal with the premium cable giant to do a comedy special and work on a half-hour comedy, according to The Hollywood Reporter.C.K. is a veteran talk show writer who has provided jokes for the likes of David Letterman, Conan O'Brien and Dana Carvey. He won his Emmy as part of the writing team on HBO's "The Chris Rock Show," a gig he landed after appearing on HBO's "Young Comedians Special" in 1995 and in his own half-hour special.In addition to writing and directing the feature film "Pootie Tang," C.K. has also appeared on the Comedy Central show "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn."This past development season, C.K. wrote and starred in the CBS pilot "Saint Louie."
