FOX Comedy Pilot Sells Out As a television viewer, which do you enjoy watching more, programming or commercials? If a new FOX comedy has its way, you won't need to make that choice anymore. The network has greenlit an untitled comedy pilot that will feature an unprecedented amount of product placement and integration. The comedy looks at a young man who becomes the first of his friends to get a job out of college and has to deal with his desire to hold down work, but also to slack with his buddies. The single-camera comedy will be produced through 20th Century Fox TV.Will Gluck and Pam Brady wrote the pilot and will executive produce. Gluck last created the comic dud "Luis" for FOX and also worked on shows including the network's "Andy Richter Controls the Universe," while Brady has written for "South Park," as well as "Luis." Both creators are excited about the possibilities inherent in FOX's attempts to jam the screen with as many brand name products as possible."We're hoping to tell funny and relatable workplace and relationship stories about twentysomethings," Gluck tells The Hollywood Reporter. "And what these characters wear, the car they drive, the communications devices they use and the products they aspire to own -- those are all part of that experience and we want to embrace that."Specific cars, wireless devices and clothing lines are reportedly mentioned in the pilot."If there are integration partners we believe who can help us organically add authenticity to that world, then bring it on," Brady says. "Bring it on hard."
