Ex-'Files' Star Patrick, Clarke Report for Pilot Duty "Terminator 2" star Robert Patrick and former "The Job" regular Lenny Clarke head the latest list of actors signing on to pilot projects. The newest crop also includes Johnny Messner and Colm Meaney.Patrick, who also starred in the final two seasons of "The X-Files" and recently guested on "Lost," has joined the cast of the CBS drama "The Unit," the showbiz trade papers report. The show, a collaboration between David Mamet ("Glengarry Glen Ross") and Shawn Ryan ("The Shield"), is about Special Forces soldiers and their families.In addition to "T2" and "The X-Files," Patrick has appeared in the features "Ladder 49" and "Spy Kids" and done guest turns on "The Sopranos" and "Stargate: Atlantis." He co-stars in the CBS miniseries "Elvis" this spring, playing Elvis Presley's father, Vernon.At ABC, Clarke, late of "It's All Relative" and a recurring role on his buddy Denis Leary's "Rescue Me," has signed on to the comedy "Neighbors," written by "Rescue Me" scribe Mike Caleo. He'll play one of two feuding neighbors who make an uneasy truce when their wives and kids become friends.Clarke, who'll next be seen in the feature film "Fever Pitch," has a talent deal with "Neighbors" producer Touchstone TV.Over at FOX, Meaney ("The Commitments," TNT's "Bad Apple") has joined the drama "Briar & Graves." He'll play a supporting role in the show about a priest (Charles Mesure) and a doctor (Elisabeth Rohm) who investigate religious phenomena.FOX is also in talks with Messner, who began a guest stint on "The O.C." this week, to star in the procedural "Deviant Behavior," about a team of cops that hunts serial killers.
